The Failure Of Beagle 2 - Down To Being "Done On The Cheap" - Poor old Beagle 2 which disappeared while attempting to land on Mars failed because the country's government wanted the mission to be "done on the cheap." This is the latest report issued by London (AFP) on Tuesday 2nd November. The committee of British MPs attacked the government for failing initially to pledge public money to the Beagle project and along with the European Space Agency (ESA) for not properly monitoring it. Some government money was later committed, but this was only after the Beagle organisers were forced to try and raise money through commercial sponsorship.The committee chairman, Ian Gibson said "ESA and the UK wanted a Mars lander on the cheap."

The tiny Beagle 2 lander carried on the ESA Mars Express spacecraft, vanished suddenly before it was due to land on Mars on Christmas Day last year. Scientists are still not certain what went wrong. Even after a 6 month investigation they are no nearer finding out where the Beagle is. Possible failures could have included electronic problems, a puncture on the cushioning gas bag, a failure of the craft to deploy its instruments, heat shield damage or even the craft landing in a crater. The Beagle was due to flip open like a pocket watch after landing on Mars and make contact, but nothing was heard from the vehicle. At the same time a pair of US probes sent to Mars landed perfectly and sent back streams of data.

The initial report into Beagle's loss criticized severe organizational failures with the mission. The parliamentary report also condemned the mission structure saying "It was extremely disappointing that the British Government, ESA and the Beagle 2 team did not cooperate fully. Beagle 2 was treated as a late Add-on! to the Mars Express and MPs said that in the future, missions should be "Properly funded from the start and managed as a single project."

Starchild - Early on in 1999 a misshapen skull was presented to Lloyd Pye who thought it would take 6 months to interest U.S. scientists into testing it, to determine it's biological heritage. Unfortunately the 6 months turned into 6 years as Pye tried to interest scientists to seriously look at the skull. The skull had been given the name "Starchild" and this put off scientists having anything to do with it and the suggestion of alien heritage. In early 2004, Pye was invited to London to have a series of bone chemistry tests to be done at the Royal Holloway Institute.

The results were astonishing. Previously unknown fibres have been found embedded in the bone along with a reddish residue in its cancerous holes, alleged impossible for human bone 900 years old. Now a set of an extensive group of test to establish the nature of the fibres and the residue which will determine whether this skull is alien or all along been an unusual human malformation. The story started just over 70 years ago when a young girl in Mexico wandered into a tunnel and discovered a human female skeleton on the cave floor. Along with this was a small skeletal hand sticking out of the dirt and grasping the arm of the skeleton. She also found in another shallow grave another skeleton of a smaller being that she said was misshapen all over. All that remained was a skull which has baffled scientist's and researchers ever since. It is believed that the skull found in this Mexican cave is a Starchild or a human-alien hybrid, along with its mother or some sort of caretaker.

When the Starchild died, she buried him, leaving his hand sticking up out of the ground, wrapped her hand around her arm and she committed suicide. Stories of Starchildren are common among ancient cultures. They say that a being from the heavens comes to earth and impregnates a woman who is usually infertile. Then the village raises this child until the being returns several years later to take the child with it.

In October 2002 a patron in London, Belinda McKenzie, agreed to fund the badly needed ancient DNA test and this was accomplished in 2003 with amazing results. The Starchild's mitochondrial DNA was relatively easy to recover and showed it had human mother but its nuclear DNA (The part that would say who it's father was) could not be recovered with current primers. When conducting the DNA tests some intriguing discoveries were apparently made. The bone was significantly harder to cut than it should have been and there was a stronger than usual smell of burning bone when cutting it. When put into EDTA, the normal solvent for human bone, the Starchild should have dissolved within a week, but 10 weeks later and the Starchild bone had not dissolved a bit. A stronger detergent was added to the mix and the bone dissolved completely overnight, down to a thin layer or residue. This was unexpected. At the moment Pye is trying to aquire funding for the final round of testing on the Starchild skull.

Tunguska Meteorite - Members of the scientific expedition of the Siberian state foundation Tunguska Space Phenomenon state that they have managed to uncover blocks of an extraterrestrial technical device. This fell down on Earth on the 30th June 1908, 65 kilometres off the Vanavara settlement, the Evenkiva republic In 1927 was the first expedition to study the Tunguska meteorite and Professor Leonid Kulik headed the mission but explorers never managed to discover any fragments of the celestial body. They worked in the western part of the region and the mission's itinerary was based on the results of the space footage analysis. Explorers believed that they had discovered blocks of an extraterrestrial technical device which crashed down to Earth on the 30th June, 1908.

In addition, members found the so-called "deer", the stone which Tunguska eyewitnesses repeatedly mentioned in their stories. A 50 kilogram piece of the stone was delivered to the city of Krasnoyarsk to be studied and analyzed. It has always been believed that a giant ball of fire flew above central Siberia before the Tunguska meteorite blast. Thunder like sounds and incredible light effects were seen during and after the flight. A ballistic wave could not create such a sound, it would remain behind the bolide, but it could never outdistance it. The only realy explanation would be linked with a powerful electromagnetic phenomena.

Ice Flows Detected On Saturn's Largest Moon - Traces of ice flowing has been detected on the surface of Saturn's largest moon Titan by the European-American Cassini-Huyens space probe, which suggests the existence of an ice volcano, according to Nasa. The team member, Ralph Lorenz of the University of Arizona in Tucson, said that the radar image sent back to Earth by the probe "Looks very much like it's something that oozed across the surface of the moon." Or it could possible be something carved by erosion. It is too early to say. The probe radar has mapped a 230 square kilometre (89 square mile) area of Titan from an altitude of 2,494 (1,550 miles).

Livingston, Scotland - 12th November marks a special anniversary especially for all us UFO buffs. Twenty five years ago, something very strange happened in the woods near Livingston. Dechmont Wood, near Livingston was the location of one of the most famous UFO sightings in history. It is a story of an alleged alien encounter that still remains a mystery.

Bob Taylor was out walking with his dog in the woods, when he reached a clearing and he was faced with a large spherical object. Out of this object came a device which attempted to drag Bob into what he said was a spaceship. At this point he lost conscious and only the dog was left to say what happened next. The Police fully investigated the case and combed the area for clues but they could find nothing. Bob is now 85 years old and does not now live in the area but still remembers that day.

The Mars Rovers get mysterious power boost - Nasa has just stated that one of the Mars rovers has actually gained power recently. Opportunity has recently experienced an unexplained rejuvenation from what can so far be described only as two or three significant "cleaning events" according to Jim Erickson, the rover project manage at Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena.

Overnight the solar panels produced between 2 and 5 per cent additional power immediately. They are surmising that for some reason dust is being removed from the solar panel and that is increasing the efficiency of the sunlight being converted to electricity. The rover team has been bandying about theories, but have not figured out the cause. One of the favourite theories is that a dust devil happened to pick up the vehicle to go through and go over the surface of it and clean it off a little bit.

The rovers had available about 1,000 watt-hours a day when they arrived on Mars, but dust settled on their solar panels and the seasonal decrease in solar energy have limited their power, and therefore their activities. Opportunity if now at about 820 watts and remains very close to full capability. Spirit which is in a less advantageous position to point its arrays towards the sun has 350 to 400 watt hours daily.

Rob Halliday After Aliens Beat Up Bob 25 years Ago - Further to the previous report about Livinston and the mysterious craft which tried to drag Mr. Taylor into it, this was the only case in British history of an alien sighting which was the subject of a criminal investigation. Now 25 years later Mr. Halliday has arranged to visit the site to meditate in silence at the exact time of Mr.Taylor's encounter. Mr. Halliday who is the chairman of the Scottish Earth Mysteries Research believes the encounter to be one of the most significant events in the history of ufology.

It was November 9th, 1979 at around 10.30.am. and Mr. Taylor who was a forestry worker parked his truck at the bottom of Dechmont Law and walked up the lower slope of the hill with his dog. As he emerged into a clearing he saw a large, circular sphere like object about 20 feet across, and it appeared to be made from a dark metallic material with a rough texture like sand paper. As he approached the object, two spheres, each about three feet wide with protruding metal spikes like old navy mines dropped from the object. The two spheres rolled towards him and his dog barked furiously but it made no difference. The two spheres attached themselves to his trousers and there was an acrid smell that caused him to choke and he felt a sudden sensation of being grabbed by the side of the legs and tugged forward. The next thing he remembered was waking up with a pounding head and a sore throat and a bitter taste in his mouth. He said he was unconscious for at least 20 minutes. He said he could not walk after the event and was devastated. He went back with the police and they found unusual indentations in the ground. Ladder shaped marks where the craft was said to have stood and marks following the path of the mine like objects. The incident was treated as an assault. Mr,.Taylor said that the object appeared solid but at brief moments it was shimmering and partially transparent.

This encounter took place on the edge of the area known as the Falkirk triangle, one of the most visited UFO hotspots in the world. In Scotland around 300 UFO's are seen each year, the highest concentration of UFO sightings on the planet.

Start Of Space Shuttles Again - Nasa, after extensive reviews are planning it's return to flight Space Shuttle mission. It will be designated STS-114 for a launch window that opens in May 2005. Nasa's Space Flight Leadership Council met on the 29th October 2004 to consider a recommendation from the Space Shuttle Program to revise the Return to Flight target launch window to May 2005. The council has endorsed the recommendation, the May window which opens from May 12th to June 3rd, 2005 is achievable.

SPACESHIP Enters Gateway To The Moon - The European spacecraft which is powered by a Star Trek style thrusters which was launched last September from Kourou in French Guiana is destined to reach the Moon on Monday after 14 months.

Smart 1 which cost £77 million to build was designed primarily to test an ion drive propulsion system that has the potential to cut years off the flight time to Mercury and Mars and other planets. The engines are ten times more efficient than standard chemical rockets and work by using electricity from solar panels to charge atoms of the noble gas xenon, which are then fired into space at 1,000 mph to power the probe. This stream of ions accelerate Smart 1 at just 0.2.millimetres per second and in space this builds up over time to generate speeds of up to 10 miles per second of 36,000 mph Smart 1 has fired its revolutionary ion engine to reach a point at which it can be captured by the Moon's gravity. Yesterday morning the probe cleared the "Lagrangian" point at which the gravity of the Earth and the Moon are in perfect balance and now the craft is assured of orbiting the Moon. If the ion drive had fallen just 5 per cent short of maximum thrust, Smart 1 could have collided with the Moon.

At the moment probe is about 37,000 miles from the Moon and on Monday shortly before 6 pm. mission control will start up the engine gain for 4 and half days. This will guide Smart 1 into a final orbit between 185 miles and 6,200 miles above the lunar surface. Smart 1 will then begin at least nine months of observations on what the Moon is made of and how it was formed.

BepiColombo, a European probe will fly to Mercury in 2009 and will arrive there in 2 and half to 3 and half years if it can use ion propulsion, rather than 6 to 7 years using conventional engines. One of Smart 1's most important instruments for gathering information will be D-CIXS, an X-Ray spectrometer built mainly by British scientists that will show the elements that exist on the Moon.

Mysterious Booms Back Again - Mysterious booms are once again being heard in Ft.Wayne, Indiana, Richmond Virginia and in England. Ft. Wayne has experienced the booms before. The sounds have the characteristic of a sonic boom made by high speed jets when they fly at supersonic speeds, but so far no evidence of their presence in the area when the sounds have been heard has been noted.

The sound that was heard across north-east Norfolk here in the UK. was not caused by a British aircraft, according to a British Ministry of Defence spokesman. The sound was heard on the 7th November and apparently rocked the whole region at noon when it was heard. Stuart Green, of the Ministry said he thought that it could have been made by an American or other supersonic plane, but had no information about any such overflights. The generation of sonic booms over Britain is prohibited except in unusual circumstances, and we must be informed first..

In Richmond in America the sounds have been more frequent. They have been so intense that a person taking a video shows that the camera shakes from the power of the sound. The sound generally takes place late at night in that area and the local authorities are at a lost to explain them. On the night of November 9th and 10th, at least ten of the sounds struck Ft.Wayne.

Air Force Looking Into Teleportation - The U.S. Air force is exploring the possible of a radically new method of flight, "Teleportation". Eric Davis of Warp Drive Metrics describes his Teleportation Physics Study in this way:- "This study was tasked with the purposes of collecting information describing the teleportation of material objects, providing a description of teleportation as it occurs in physics, its theoretical and experimental status, and a projection of potential applications. The study also consisted of a search for teleportation phenomena occurring naturally or under laboratory conditions that can be assembled into a model describing the conditions required to accomplish the transfer of objects."

He has settled on psychic teleportation as the most plausible means "P-Teleportation", if verified would represent a phenomenon that could offer potential high-payoff for military, intelligence and commercial applications. It would create a revolution in technology and would result from a dramatic paradigm shift in science. Anomalies are the key apparently to all paradigm shifts. This would take a step beyond remote viewing to remote presence and the implications would be vast.

Catholic scholars still debate the mysterious claim of a Franciscan nun. Maria de Jesus de Agreda who could while in a religious trance take herself from her cell in Agreda Spain and appear before the Jumanos and other tribes of Texas. Accounts of the appearance of the "Lady in Blue", described as a beautiful woman in a blue cloak who walked into remote rancherias and encampments to preach and exhort Texas Indians to seek conversion, circulated in church circles for a century.

Anniversary Of The First UFO Sighting - Everyone thinks that the Kenneth Arnold sighting in 1947 was the first UFO sighting, but this is wrong. The first sighting of a UFO was recorded in modern times on the 17th November, 1882. The British Royal Observatory at Greenwich observed the UFO which was described "a strange Celestial Visitor." It was a circular object glowing green. The observatory could offer no theory regarding the object, beyond recording the sighting of it.

One of the finest UFO Books every written by a professional observer, "Unconventional Flying Objects" Written by Dr. Paul Hill, one of NASA's leading engineers, he was the epitome of a skilled professional observer and personally had some of the best UFO sightings ever. Dr. Hill was not allowed to publish the book by Nasa, but after his death, his daughter happened to find it. He was a distinguished, award winning engineer of the very highest calibre and Dr. Hill believed that they were exterrestrial craft and worked hard to backward engineer them. For many years he was Nasa's leading engineer. Whitley Strieber describes it as "The Most Important UFO Book ever written."

Is Utah The New "Area 51?" - According to Dave Rosenfeld/res. Utah UFO Hunters the western Utah desert is holding some sort of secret. Strange activity has been going on and they have the pictures to prove it. Area 51 is still being used, but could this be the new one?

Dave Rosenfeld runs a website that features everything from flying saucers to Bigfoot and there is a section about Utah's Dugway Proving Ground, perhaps next to Area 51. He says he has seen some interesting things out there, a lot of strange lights and recently he has seen a "Beam Test." Odd beams of light shooting straight up into the sky at 1.00 in the morning have been observed and this would happen over and over again.It would get bright, bright, bright and stay on for a bit then stay on for a little while flickering, and then shut off like a light switch.

The images have been captured using a variety of cameras and telescopes. This was done miles away, perched on public property. They have also photographed Hangars, security cameras and other odd things, and they have been "caught."

Dave Rosenfeld said "You are definitely being watched, Once you pull up to the fence line, they know you are there." Even so, Dave and his friends continue to go out there. No one from the military of Dugway will comment on whether there's any Area 51 type of activity going on there. Like those people who continue to go to Area 51. Dave and his friend say they will keep on stalking out the area in hopes of capturing a good photo.

Strange Metal Pieces Found - In March 2004 Mr. Campbell was a presenter at the UFO symposium at Aztec, New Mexico and presented a story about items he had retrieved from the Plains of San Agustin. Mr. Campbell things these artefacts are from extraterrestrial biological entities and their craft.

One item is there is a sole of a shoe that is most unusual. This shoe sole is 4 7/8ths inches long and 1 1/8ths inch wide at the narrow part. It is made out of 9 layers of material and the sole has been analyzed at a laboratory that analyzed the Turin Shroud and it is most unusual.The sole is shaped the same as a human foot but he has cut out a child's size 4 shoe sole and when the one from the Plains of San Agustin if superimposed over it, it is so much narrower. A child;s foot is very wide and when the child grows up it becomes narrow, so this was not a child. It was an adult. The inner support strap was made of cotton and it was sewn with nylon thread, apparently this is important because nylon was not invented on our planet until later, 1947. During WWII nylon hose was the rage, but Mr. Campbell said he did not think they were using it in shoe soles.

The sole was made by a woven cotton cloth, a urethane foam with a sodium or calcium carbonate, black rubber material containing clay and carbonate filler, compressed cotton fibres vulcanized or embedded in 6 angrstrom unquoted material, woven cotton cloth and double warp twill then item #3, a 2 over 1 basket weave. At one time a maroon dye cotton cloth, a woven cotton cloth, compressed cotton fibres embedded or vulcanized into the bottom sole. The rubber sole was made from plant pitch or oil such as lithicin that contained a clay and calcium carbonate filler pigmented with titanium white. This is not the way a normal shoe sole would be made.

The are 9 layers in this small sole of a shoe and Mr. Campbell has worked on fining a manufacturer for years and cannot find anyone who even comes close. Strange Metals found.Several pieces of metal and it's an aluminium alloy. Anywhere from 17 microns thick to 1,500 microns thick. Several pieces were found and 6 of them were analyzed at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Apparently this stuff is not common.

They found that by using an area method rather than a chemical method of analyzing it, they found it was 91% aluminium, 6% iron and 3% silicon. Silicon is quartz sand. The lab had not idea where it could have come from. The number 1 piece of foil is about 7 inches long by about 5 inches wide and it's folder over. That is about a 50 square inches of foil. When it is opened up it looks very much like a taco shell.

The professor at New Mexico Tech took 6 pieces of metal and stood them on edge in a 1 inch file. He held them vertically in this little vial that's 1 inch in diameter and poured some epoxy resin in there. Once it was hardened, he took the outside cast off and ground the top of this very smooth. This way he got a cross section of the metal. The thickness of piece No. 1 was 30 microns, household aluminium foil, the regular standard is about 17 microns.It is grey in colour and has little black pieces in it.Right in the centre is a very bright sop with a white part in it. The black there is a void, made by that piece of silicon in it.

Mr. Campbell has also found plastic with thin gold and copper wires in it. When he had it analyzed with a MIR it had many chambers in it and it has a microscopic gold wire and this gold wire had a fitting on it like maybe you put 2 of them together. the wire was microscopic, almost to nano level. Many times smaller than a human hair. A old wooden cross was also found at the Plains of San Augustin Crash site, It was wired together and figured it had been left there by a local resident.

Stonehenge Turns Up In Russia - Archaeologists in Russia believe that they have discovered another Stonehenge. They has discovered a 4,000 year old structure which appears similar in construction to Stonehenge here in England. They believe that the culture that created the famous British site might have been established across a vast area of the world in prehistory. The structure which is built of Wood was found in the Ryazan area, and was located at the conjunction of two rivers, in a spot that commands a tremendous view. Ritual implements have been found that might shed light on the religious practices and culture of the people who built the two monuments. The structure was about 30 feet in diameter and consisted of thick wooden poles. Two gates point towards the sunrise and sunset. A bowl found within the perimeter of the structure is decorated with rays that suggest the sun.

Silent Ultrasonic Flying Triangles Seen In The Himalayas - In Zanskar near the "Drang Drung" glacier a girl reported seeing a silent triangular airship in the sky which was flying at a very high speed and was completely salient. This is on the border of India /China and on the Indian side of the Himalayas. This is very high in altitude and strategically placed for India and China. According to sources, it is here that the largest number of nuke missiles from China and India are hidden deep in the earth. No one from China or India are allow to go close to these installations.

According to recent publications America has witnessed silent high speeds triangular space crafts of the size of Foot Ball fields in the sky and they are completely silent. The aircraft are either advanced US Air Force planes or extraterrestrial. According to the locals these strange objects have been visiting over the last 5 years and the numbers of these strange triangular objects is increasing. The objects are completely silent, move through the air extremely slowly. They can suddenly vanish at tremendous speed and they are translucent. The flying objects do no project light as would a normal earth-made machine would.

Rock Music Sent To "Aliens" - The Cassini- Huygens spacecraft which completes it's journey to Saturn's moon Titan in January will boldly blast rock 'n roll music when it gets there. The space craft is carrying a 14 minute CD which is loaded with music from two little-known French artists, Julian Civange and Louis Haeri who will have the honour of broadcasting their music to any aliens listening.

The European Space Agency wanted to add artistic content to the mission and the only condition they gave the musicians was that the tracks had to have was no words. The first tune "Lalala" gives the basic chords of rock and was inspired by photos provided by ESA. The second track "Bald James Deans" refers to the separation of the Huygens probe from Cassini in mid-December, conjuring up dual visions of the U.S. Film icon speeding off in different directions in the stellar void. The third track on the CD., "Hot Time" is an artistic piece meant to reflect the exploration of Titan. The last tune "No Love" channels Civange's preferred sci fi author Philip K.Dick by evoking questions about what space travel means.

The Huygens probe is to descent onto Titan's surface by parachute in mid-January. It will carry out experiments while the Cassini craft continues its fly-by of Saturn's 30 odd moons.

Space Mail To Be Launched By Russia - On the 25th December the first message for "Aliens" is going to be launched into space. Russian scientists believe that satellites do not use the full range of their capacities and Russians will have the opportunity to send any messages to extraterrestrial civilizations with the help of navigating satellites of new generation, Glonass-M. A spokesman for the scientific association for applied mechanics which is based in the Krasnoyarsk region of Russia said "In addition to the basic purpose of the satellite, we decided to use them as space mail agents."

The Glonass-M satellites orbit the Earth at a height of 20 thousand kilometres, and they can stay there forever. Information's which is in the form of texts and drawings can be placed on aluminium plates which make so-called cargo models to balance the satellite's centre of mass. The official spokeswoman for the association, Elena Matveeve said that the first six informational plates were placed on the Gonass-M 12L satellite and the launch will be on the 25th December. The plates contain the information about the enterprise and its founder, academician Mikhail Reshetnev. They have already started accepting applications for the next Glonass-M spacecraft, which will be launched in 2005. Anyone can submit their application free of charge. The first priority will be paid to information about the planet earth, the human civilization, education and modern terrestrial space technologies.

Mysterious Object Seen Near Saturn's Ring - NOOO23784 was the number of this image taken on the 29th October, 2004. It was received by JPL on the 30th October, 2004. The camera was pointing towards Saturn's rings at approximately 491,458 miles away.

The image was taken using the CLI and CL.2. filters. The image has not been validated or calibrated. Apparently a validated/calibrated image will be archived with the Nasa Planetary Date System in 2005.
