Shuttle data gives vital clues - According to the data retrieved from the OEX recorder, which was found in a field in Texas on 19th March, hot gas had entered the leading edge of the left wing within 16 seconds of the time Columbia experienced maximum aerodynamic heating. Accident investigators have said that this indicates Columbia began it's descent with the mechanism of failure already in place. The OEX is situated below the crew compartments middeck floor. This records the final 45 minutes of flight. It has 721 sensors situated all over the shuttle and logs the data. Although it was damaged, engineers have been able to recover valuable data from it's 9,400 feet of magnetic tpe. According to the information on OEX the first signs of trouble occurred when a brake line in the left wing's main landing gear displayed an unusual rise. 10 minutes later, Columbia broke up.

After the first signs of trouble, a string of temperature sensors failed, probably as a result of a plume of superheated air forcing it'sway into the left wing.According to all the evidence so far retrieved, accident investigators believe that the initial breach occurred on the underside of the leading edge of panel 6 on the left wing. In future, The US. National Imaging and Mapping Agency will routinely image Space Shuttles in Orbit from now on. This is the agency that operates the US's Spy Satellites.

Roswell - The widow of a Technical Sergeant who helped recover the saucer that crashed at Roswell in July 1947, a Mrs. Anne Robbins states that she remembers the description of the saucer that her husband told her about.

Mrs. Robbins is now 84, and her late husband told her that three small beings were found outside the craft. She confirms that what her late husband saw was definitely not a downed weather balloon. According to Mrs. Robbins, the night in question they had been to a dinner party at their NCO Club on base and did not get home until 10.30 to 11pm. They had just got to bed when everything outside lit up like it was daylight for what seemed several minutes.

Her husband then received a telephone call and told to report to base. When he returned home 18 hours later she was surprised to find that his uniform was damp. He told her that he had gone through the decontamination tank at base and that a UFO had crashed outside of Roswell. He stated that on top of the saucer were oblong-shaped windows all the way around the craft. He said there were three people, 1 dead and 2 were still alive. Several days later he took his wife out to the crash site.

All the debris had been cleared away by now, but there was a big burned spot. It was a perfect circle and shiny. She stated it looked like the sand had been melted and turned into a sheet of black glass. After the trip to the crash site, her husband never spoke about it again, until he retired from the Air Force in 1961.

He died of a heart attack in January, 2000. He would never talk about what he saw, stating "I can't tell you, don't ask me. " When his kids kept asking him questions, he finally got a pencil and drew a sketch. They had pear-shaped heads with large black eyes. Their skin, he says was brown and they had no nose, no mouth. The only time her husband ever mentioned it again was a few years before his death when they were watching a TV. programme about Roswell. She asked him if it was a hoax and he said "It's the truth. It did land." When she asked him where it was, he said he couldn't tell her.

Mrs Robbins could never understand why her husband who was an airplane repairman was called out in the middle of the night to investigate a crashed UFO. After filing her husband's death certificate with Military Officials in Washington, DC. did she learn that he had intelligence clearance during his time in Roswell.

So here is another witness who claims that a UFO did actually land at Roswell. Saying the same thing as we have heard many times before. Nothing new added except about the black shiny patch at the scene. Mrs. Robbins says "The UFO they found didn't fly away, so where is it?"

Maybe, one day, we might learn the full truth.

Ancient UFO's - Evidence of ancient UFO's are been claimed by a manuscript written in the 4th Century BC. It has been found in Tibet by the Chinese. It was in a bundle of Sanskrit documents, and contained directions for building interstellar space-ships. The method of propulsion is anti-gravitational. It's described as "a centrifugal force strong enough to counteract all gravitational pull." The machines are described as "ASTRAS." According to the text the ancient Indians were able to travel to any planet, and even mentions a planned trip to the Moon. The propulsion method, resembles Laghima, which refers to the power the ego. Hindu Yogis claim that a person's Laghima allows his body to Levitate. It also tells of the secrets of antima (invisibility) and garima (a way of making ones body as heavy as lead).

Mission to Mars - It might be worth a visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester this year. Beagle 2 which is due to be launched in June will be carried on a Russian rocket. This will be the largest mission so far to search for living matter on the planet Mars. The team in charge of the British Mars Probe will operate it from Mission Control at the Landers Operations Control Centre at the National Space Centre in Leicester. Visitors will be able to see every step of the mission. It will be the first time that the public will be able to see events unfold from a Space Mission nerve centre. Professor Alan Wells director of Space research at the National Space Centre at the University of Leicester said "The idea to operate a space mission in full view of the visiting public to the National Space Centre is something we have been planning ever since Beagle 2 was conceived." The Beagle 2 probe will weigh 66lbs. on the planets surface and is equipped with scientific instruments which will carry out the search for life. A robotic arm will be used to examine and collect samples of Martian rock and soil.

Levitations - Solid objects such as coins have been made to float in the air by researchers at the University of Nottingham. It has already been proven to scientist that strong, varying magnetic fields can exert upward forces on objects in their path. The team at Nottingham found this effect could be dramatically enhanced in cold oxygen. Magnetic levitation occurs when the magnetic force is strong enough to overcome gravity and balance a body's weight.Cold oxygen provides extra buoyancy through the "magneto-Archimedes" effect - literally allowing an object to float in the air. Colleagues at the University of Nottingham's School of Physics and Astronomy used this technique to levitate a gold coin, a £1. coin and two kinds of crystal and a piece of lead. They state that objects could be moved simply by adjusting the strength of the magnetic field. According to scientists, the experiment is more than a conjuring trick. The technique can be adapted for use in separating minerals. There is a lot of work being done at the moment at several places to do with gravity and levitation.
