Animal Mutilations

This is basically a warning for the squeamish and the easily disgusted.......

This subject is at times gory and very descriptive, if you feel uneasy about this subject, do not read on. If on the other hand you would like to know what Animal Mutilations are all about and don't mind being shocked with text and grotesque pictures read on................

I recently gave a presentation to HUFOS, in which I offered an alternative perception of our extraterrestrial visitors – the perception that they may not indeed, come in peace. HUFOS has requested an adaptation of that presentation for those who missed it at our regular meeting. So here it is................

How many of you anticipate the possibility of making contact with another species, an extraterrestrial species? How many of you envisage, and would welcome the following scenario................

Extraterrestrial Species makes contact

A dialogue between species opens

Medical technology is shared The hand of friendship is offered

Advanced technology is offered

Good, firm, solid relations ensue

Humanity enters into a new era of technological advancement, peace, love and understanding

If you have, I’d suggest that you are somewhat naïve. Have you given thought to the possibility that our ET visitors may not be as friendly as we would like or hope them to be?

Cause of Death: UFO?

Click Here For Higher Resolution Picture Lets not be under any illusion about what we are going to discuss. A number of unusual animal deaths have been recorded for a good many years, I understand the earliest reported death was that of a horse called Lady, (Right) in September 1967. I’ll return to Lady shortly.

The deaths of these animals occurred in somewhat bizarre circumstances, and, although many of the animals were unrelated i.e. different species, farms or even countries, their deaths and state of their carcasses all bore very similar characteristics. Those characteristics will become more apparent as we progress. Lets look at a few past cases, starting with the first reported case, Lady.

Lady was a horse that was reared on a farm near Alamosa, Colorado. Every night she would turn up at the ranch house for her food and water. One evening, September 8th 1967, Lady failed to turn up. Berle Lewis, Lady's owner, and colleagues went out the following day to try and find the horse. They eventually found her carcass.

Click Here For Higher Resolution Picture The neck and head were completely devoid of flesh, her brain and other internal organs were missing and some of the cuts were as clean as a surgeons’ scalpel. The carcass had also been completely exanguinated.

Several theories arose, ranging from the horse being struck by a bolt of lightning to her being the victim of Satanists! Lady’s owner, Berle Lewis, began searching the field for clues. The only tracks he could find belonged to the horse. However, there were no tracks leading up to the body and there had been no bad weather the night before. Oddly, these stopped about a hundred feet from where Lady had been found. It was as though she had been picked up and dropped. Looking further, a three-foot circle of holes in the earth was discovered, about forty feet from the corpse. Also nearby was a bush that had been burnt.

In the nights leading up to the discovery, strange lights had been seen in the sky above the valley. In fact, San Luis Valley had gained a reputation for strange lights. They had been appearing all that summer. Indeed, many local people had reported seeing strange lights in the sky and even Beryl Lewis's mother had reported a large unknown and unidentified craft passing over her cabin the day 'Lady' disappeared.

On the morning after Lady’s discovery, a doctor of pathology called Dr John Altshuler had driven up to the valley to see if he could see any of the strange lights for himself. As he stood by his car staring at the sky, a park ranger approached him and asked if he could examine a mutilated horse that they had just found. Altshuler had no experience of dead animals, however he agreed. Despite this lack of experience, it was obvious that predators had not killed the animal. As well as the complete removal of the head flesh, the horse had its chest cut open and its internal organs removed. None of the animal’s wounds bled, and there were no signs of blood on the ground around it. The edges of the wounds seemed to have been sealed closed by a great heat. Altshuler removed tissue specimens from around the cuts and took them back to his hospital lab for analysis.

When he examined his samples under microscope, he found what he had suspected. Along the edge of the cuts, the haemoglobin of the animal’s blood had been cooked solid. This explained why there was no bleeding: the wounds had been cauterized.

Click Here For Higher Resolution Picture If this had been the only case of its kind, it would probably have been forgotten. But it wasn’t. No official figures are available for the number of US mutilations but over the course of the 1970s, it rose into the thousands.

Between the years 1975 and 1977, two counties in Colorado alone suffered over two hundred attacks. Mutilations have been recorded in the US, South America, Europe, Australia and Japan. Taken in isolation each case could be put down to an attack by a violent madman. Yet this would not explain the many similarities between cases.

A case from Meeker County, Minnesota in 1974 is typical. The victim was a heifer. Cattle are the most common victims of mutilation. Its eyes, cheek, left ear and tongue had been removed. The field in which it was found was covered with a scattering of snow. There were no tracks to be seen. The only disturbances were circles of melted snow, one of which surrounded the dead cow. Other circles were scattered at random around the field. As with Lady, the wounds were bloodless and cauterized. There was no blood on the ground.

Another strange animal mutilation case that has occurred in Japan occurred on 29th December 1990 in a town called Saga Prefecture. The loud, non-stop barking of his dog waked a farmer. He went out to see what all the fuss was about, and was deeply upset and shocked when he entered the cow shed and found a 12-month old cow lying on the floor with its tongue missing and 4 nipples from its udder removed.

Two years later on 4th January 1992, his dog began barking again, this time he rushed out to the cow shed and observed a small white object floating in the air next to a cow. The object quickly moved outside and disappeared. This cow however was more fortunate, in just had a broken leg.

In April 1993, near a town named Success, close to Swift Current, Saskatchewan a rancher and his wife heard their cattle becoming agitated around 2:30 AM. Later, in the early evening of the same day, they discovered a dead and mutilated seven-week-old Black Angus calf. The calf was 200 feet from the house, and it was missing an eye and an ear, and the soft tissue of the nose was burned away. An autopsy showed that the lungs had been charred, and the internal organs were destroyed. Electrocution was considered as a possible cause, but the lack of power lines, a thunderstorm or scorch marks of any kind effectively ruled this out.

Shortly after discovering the calf, the rancher, his wife and brother, witnessed unusual lights over the field where the animal was found. The lights changed from orange to red, then to blue and then to white. After about 45 minutes, the lights shot straight up in the sky and out of sight.

And so it goes on.

Characteristics Common in Animal Mutilations

I mentioned earlier that there are very distinct similarities between cases. The most common characteristics include the careful and skilful surgical removal of.............

Eyes

Cheek muscle, flesh, tissue

Neck muscle, flesh, tissue

Part or whole udders (bovine mutilations)

Genitalia

Also very evident is rectal coring, whereby the rectal region has been completely removed from the animal.

Click Here For Higher Resolution Picture The removal of cheek tissue, neck tissue and eyes is extremely common. Many cattle also have other areas of skin removed. Usually the cut that separates the skin does not cut the muscle beneath. Where it does cut the muscle however, the muscle is also removed, often leaving behind an area that is cleared down to the bone. This, combined with the cauterization of the wounds, seems to point to a careful surgical operation rather than a frenzied attack as is usually noted where cases involving cult involvement are concerned. In many cases, there is a notable lack of internal organs – these having often been removed through using keyhole surgery style methods – the organs are removed through holes of up to three inches in width. Udders in cows and genitalia of animals are also found to be missing, and the anal region is also cored out.

Evidently missing in these cases are signs of activity around the site of the carcass. In every case, there are no tracks leading to or from the animal – human, vehicular or otherwise – there are no signs of a struggle and there is no sign of blood spillage. Is this unusual? Well, lets investigate this further.

An agitated animal will always leave marks of some description, such as (animal) foot-mark impressions where it is pacing heavily, gouges in the ground where it has been pawing at the ground and excess excreta, urination and salivation. Yet none of these marks were found. Unusual for an animal that is dying in bizarre circumstances? You bet it is.

Is there a human element in this? Well, its certainly possible, however there has been no concrete evidence of this. That is, no human footmark impressions, vehicular impressions, no witness observation, no trace evidence left at the scene or on the animal carcass, fingerprints or anything. Even toxicology reports reveal nothing in the way of known sedatives that could have been used.

The level of skill needed to make the incisions and remove the flesh, and internal organs, suggests something more than the odd cultist making a sacrifice. Don’t get me wrong – this happens frequently, but the evidence is normally always present to support the sacrifice hypothesis in those cases. No, the level of skill displayed suggests someone or something with a great deal of medical training behind them. Keyhole surgery used to remove organs? Well, you try removing something the size of an average watermelon through a 3-inch hole without either tearing the flesh or rupturing the organ and leaving a mess inside the carcass.

Lividity or liver mortis is a term given to the way in which blood settles in the body after death. When a person, or animal, dies, gravity slowly pushes the blood down through veins and arteries to the lowest point of the body. This then gives the appearance of reddish purplish bruising at the lowermost part of the corpse. If you cut open a body at the uppermost point, it will not bleed, however, cut into the lower part and the blood will slowly seep out. That is if it hasn’t congealed, in which case you may get just a leakage of plasma fluids.

The animals showed no sign of lividity and later autopsy showed that the carcasses had been completely exanguinated – that is, the blood had been drained from the body. There was no trace of blood at the site of the carcass which is rather unusual considering that one pint of blood will spread over a fairly large area. If the volume blood of a cow were to drain out and spread, that would make a big puddle. Okay, maybe it soaked into the earth – there should still be a considerable amount evident. But no, nothing at all was found.

Another remarkable feature in some of the cases was that the animal carcass was found in a small, virtually unnoticeable crater – nothing significant, but enough to suggest that the crater may have been formed by dropping the animal from a height. Broken leg bones, pelvis and spinal columns discovered in some of the carcasses support this possibility.

Click Here For Higher Resolution Picture Conclusion

To round up, in each case we have an animal that has died under mysterious circumstances. It is invariably always exanguinated of blood. Organs and areas of flesh are surgically removed as are genitals and rectal tissue. The lack of physical and trace evidence supports the theory that the acts were carried out elsewhere and the animal later returned and dumped, possibly dropped from a great height.

What is not known is who is doing this and why. There are several theories, being................

Cultists/Satanists

Government/military intervention

UFO's

Finally, I want to briefly introduce another concept to the mutilation topic. We are already aware of the allegations concerning alien abduction and we are aware of the experimentation that the victims claim to undergo. They do not seem to suffer any physical harm as a result of the experiments. Or do they?

In 1980 the body of a polish man was found laying upon a coal tip. PC Alan Godfrey found the body of Zygmunt Adamski who had been missing from his home in Todmorden for a number of days. The circumstances surrounding the body were similar to those of animal mutilations, in that there was no physical evidence to say that he arrived at that location by any other means than that of simply falling out of the sky.

His body, I think, was found intact (with the exception of burn marks, possibly caused by a caustic substance), which is more fortunate than the next fellow I want to mention.

The body of an unnamed Brazilian male (unnamed at the request of his family) was discovered in a small forest clearing near to the Guarapiranga reservoir, Brazil. His body displayed all the characteristics of animal mutilation. Another death, similar to the Guarapiranga case, occurred in New Zealand in 1994. I am only just now becoming aware of yet further cases involving male and female adults, and even children. I haven’t yet had the chance to research these other cases, but what I am certain of, is that the animal mutilation cases have taken a bizarre and disturbing turn for the worse. We don’t know who, or why, or how. There are only a handful of people out there that possibly do, and three of those people that I am aware of are dead. Pleasant dreams everybody.

1... It’s not clear whether the horse carcass was that of Lady, or if it was an entirely separate animal – published statements and reports vary and indicate both.

2... At least, none was mentioned in the reports and statements concerning these animals.
