For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Sean I'm one of the Investigators - Organisers of the Hull UFO Society, as well as Producer - Editor of our bi-monthly magazine and Webmaster to name a few of my jobs within the society.

With the tragic death of friend and fellow ufologist, Graham Birdsall, this item seems harder to write simply because I have more bad news for you all concerning the Hull UFO Society. The Tuesday 9th December 2003 meeting, is the Hull UFO Societies final monthly meeting.

This is not down to meetings failing or down to squabbles in the society (As some people would like to think!), it is down to simple logic which I will now explain........

The Hull UFO Society has had a good run of more then 6 years and we have built up a great deal of respect in the Ufological world with other paranormal groups, members of the public and speakers alike. It is a shame then that I have to tell you that HUFOS cannot continue because of circumstances within our own personal lives.

The main Organisers/Investigators of HUFOS have their own private lives to lead and as such HUFOS, for the first time ever, has to come second.

Sean Tierney: (Investigator/Organiser/Webmaster/Magazine Editor) - Has started a teaching course at college, which unfortunately falls on several nights of the week and a Saturday, one of the nights is a Tuesday night.

Vicki Skelton: (Investigator/Organiser/Accountant/Tea Lady) - Has also started a college course, again which unfortunately falls on several nights of the week and a Saturday, again, one of the nights is a Tuesday night.

Jason Lewis: (Investigator/Organiser/Accountant) - Has a job which involves shift work, several of his nights fall’s on the night of our monthly meetings.

Mark Savaris: (Investigator/Organiser) - Also has a job which involves shift work, several of his nights fall’s on the night of our monthly meetings.

Ian Anderson: (Investigator/Organiser) - Again, also has a job which involves shift work, several of his nights fall’s on the night of our monthly meetings.

Darren Parr: (Investigator/Organiser) - Has also started a college course, again which unfortunately falls on the night of our meetings.

As you can see, the outlook for HUFOS - Hull UFO Society is bleak and it is only a matter of time before HUFOS - Hull UFO Society fails and that is something I and a lot of other people do not want to see happen. So where do we go from here?

Well hopefully all is not lost, what we are intending to do is hold 3 - 4 meetings a year to coincide with the time I get off from college and the nights when the other guys can make it. So HUFOS - Hull UFO Society meetings will continue.
