Monthly Newsletter
Number 3 - February 2004
Changes To Status
E2WUFOS decided to change the status of the two co-founders of the group, Harry Sommerville and Jim Robertson. Harry will now be the director of
E2WUFOS while Jim will take over the position of chief investigator. These changes come into effect starting this month. Jim can be contacted regarding sightings by

Varghina UFO Crash
Central American ufologists believe that a UFO may have crashed in a remote part of Varghina, Brazil on the 20th July 1996. Three girls were coming down a
path in an area known as Jardim Andere, close to the city center when one of the girls recoiled in terror. She had seen a creature with slippery, brownish skin and
what appeared to be three small horns protruding from its head. The eyes were described as huge and red, and the creature was seen to be squatting down with its
long arms dangling between its legs. The creature was observed for a few minutes until it made a sudden movement which prompted the girls to run away in terror.
Earlier on the same day, a UFO was reported by two farm hands who also lived locally.
Forum Moderators
In last months newsletter I asked for members to come forward to help with moderating the forums. I am pleased to say that Cathy and Paul have now done so.
They will be a great help to the group in this area, thanks folks.
Visit To Dechmont Woods
One of our new members Cathy who has not long moved to Livingston wanted to visit Dechmont Woods to visit the site of Bob Taylors incident on the 9th Nov
1979. As you can see from the photograph above, the day we went it had been snowing. Cathy is standing by the stone erected to mark the site of Bob Taylors
encounter. The clearing on the right is where the UFO landed.

The A70 Case Painting
I have been working with Bill Burt, one of our members in the USA. Bill was interested in doing a painting of the A70 case. So I did a bit of research for him. I went
up the A70 with Frank, one of our members who lives locally, to take some photographs to give Bill an idea of what the area looked like. Along with the other
information I gave Bill, he set about creating his painting. It is now finished and I think he has made a wonderful job of it. Signed copies of this limited edition print of
the A70 case can be purchased by contacting me. The prints are 8.5” x 11”. See below for a sample print to give you an idea but you have to see the actual print to
really appreciate the quality of the work.
Crash Retrievals
This is the general name given to supposed retrievals of crashed flying saucers by government and military agents. There have been many such claims in the past.
Almost exclusively in the United States. The stereotypical version of this is the Roswell crash of July 1947.
E2WUFOS Newsletter
Sean Tierney of the Hull UFO Society, has been in touch with me. I had sent him a copy of our December 2003 and January 2004 newsletter, he had got back to
me asking if he could put our newsletter on their website to let others read it. I agreed to this as the more interest we can get for E2WUFOS is obviously welcome.
Thanks for your interest Sean.
Strange Photograph
One of our members, Paul gave me a copy of this strange photograph.it was taken in 1983 in a place called Apletreewick, near Leeds. Apparently the person who
took the photograph never noticed the circular shape at the time. Does anybody out there have any ideas as to what it is as it certainly has me baffled. If you look
closely you can see a yellow aura around it. I look forward to your suggestions.
The Falkirk UFO Flap
There have been an exceptional number of UFO sightings in and around the town of Bonnybridge in the past. According to local councilor Billy Buchanan some
2,000 sightings have been reported. Is it just me or have things gone really quiet in the Falkirk area UFO wise or is it just that the media has lost interest and have
stopped reporting incidents. I welcome members thoughts on this.
You may have heard of some recent UFO sightings/activity in the Falkirk area I have missed, if so please let me know.
Group Meeting 11th Feb 2004
A group meeting was held on the above date at my home. The group discussed two local cases, the A70 case and the Bob Taylor incident in Dechmont Woods.
Video footage of both cases were shown plus handouts and photographs were available to the group. Some members met each other for the first time mainly
because our members live in different areas. It was a very interesting night.
New Members
Laura who came to the meeting as a guest left as a member, welcome to E2WUFOS Laura.
E2WUFOS Skywatch
Several sites have been suggested for our next skywatch including the A70 up near the Pentlands Hills, Bonnybridge and Cairnpapple Hill. Cathy, Aandy and
myself visited the Cairnpapple Hill site on the 12th of Feb 2004 and it really is some place. The view is amazing, on a clear day you can see the Bass Rock off the
East coast all the way across to the Isle Of Arran off the West coast. Anyone interested in the Cairnpapple Hill site should visit
Cairnpapple Hill Website- It`s worth a look.
Sad day For Ufology In Scotland
Thomas best the director of GUFORO, the Glasgow based UFO group told me the group is folding. I was once the director of research for GUFORO and
enjoyed working with Thomas. I know the amount of time and effort he put into GUFORO so it`s a sad day indeed that it`s closing down.
Well that`s it for this month folks hope you found something to interest you. Please remember it`s your newsletter and if there is anything ufo/alien you would like to
see in future editions please contact me simply clicking this link
